About Seyhan Hanna
A gulet cruise is undoubtedly the best way of exploring the Turkish Mediterranean and we would suggest none finer than one taken aboard Fairlight Jones’ luxurious gulet, Seyhan Hanna. This elegant vessel never fails to turn heads as she glides into harbours and bays, with sleek white lines and billowing sails she is both dream and eye-catcher.
At an expansive 39 metres, Seyhan Hanna is far larger than a standard gulet which means there is always a corner to curl up with a good book or simply admire the views with a sense of utter solitude. The spacious teak decks are as shiny as a new pin and provide seemingly endless space to relax and unwind.
Each morning Captain Ali charts his course – taking account of guests’ route preferences – and those wishing to try their hand at the helm are positively encouraged. Some time is spent under sail as an exercise of pure theatre to enjoy the glorious sight of billowing, unfurled sails (they look spectacular but fail to add speed on a vessel designed to cruise).
Relax and enjoy the barefoot vibe that is so typical of life at sea, without compromising on any creature comforts: wifi, air-conditioning, quality food and wine and exceptional service are ‘de rigeur’.
The highlight for many is the evening when a fabulous meal is served under an array of sparkling lights which signal that the boat is dressed for dinner.
Meals are enjoyed alfresco under canopy (and under the stars by nightfall) or guests may choose to dine ashore. Menu options are selected each morning for the chef to cook meals freshly each night. Three wonderfully tasty courses are served accompanied by a selection of fragrant mezes.
For the active, there is windsurfing, sea-kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing and snorkelling (with access to motorised sports such as water-skiing), plus visits to local villages, markets and historical sites on route.
Most guests simply choose to lie back and watch the changing seascapes, punctuated by occasional cooling dips into the aqua blue ocean. Time on-board is spent meandering lazily between bays and stopping off for solitary swims (often the boat will have an entire cove all to itself), taking languid lunches while enjoying the fresh sea air and the finest of views.
The ambience is very relaxed – shoes are off and there is no need to dress for dinner. Relax and unwind in utter peace and solitude safe in the hands of the utterly professional Captain Ali and crew who leave guests wanting for nothing.
Spacious 'Hotel-style' Cabins
Steps at either end of the spacious salon and galley lead through to the cabins where guests sleep in cool comfort as the 'silent' generator enables you to enjoy air-conditioning in your cabin throughout the night.
The six luxurious cabins are far larger than usual for a gulet and each has its own seating are and en suite bathrooms with shower/wc. Four of the cabins are a considerable 20 metres square (compared to 12 on a standard gulet) while the two master cabins boast an enormous 31 square metres. The two master cabins and a futher two triple cabins have a double and a single bed a piece, enabling the gulet to sleep up to 14 guests in comfort on a private charter.
Seyhan Hanna is ideal for a party of friends or families sharing to celebrate a special birthday or simply enjoy a luxurious escape to sea.
