Gökçe: Simply... the most stunning location in Turkey.

     4 bedroom house, sleeping 8

This superbly elegant and contemporary house enjoys the most breathtaking location framed by sensational seascapes over the beautifully unspoilt bay of Gökce below, and also - in order to leave the environment untouched - has been literally created around a tree which stands magnificently through its very heart.

Perched atop a hillside the luxurious glass-fronted house has a cavernous vaulted-ceiling effortlessly designed to take full advantage of the staggeringly beautiful views.

Despite its obvious 'wow factor', this most contemporary of our triumvirate of Gökce Gemile houses retains the surrounding nature at its core blending effortlerssly with its surroundings - ensuring the house epitomises the philosophy that is Gökce Gemile.

  •

Gökçe has been built with warm Alaçati stone interspersed with exposed beams and walls of glass which maximise the breathtaking position and sense of inside-outside living.

Spread in estate-style over a considerable two thousand square metres (for this house alone), Gökçe is surrounded by forest with formal and wild gardens and a variery of nooks and crannies to explore and enjoy.  A path – illuminated by nightfall - leads to a hidden pergola nestled into the edge of the forest ideal for moments of solitude surveying the sublime setting and scenery. Naturally, wherever you are it is impossible to escape those astonishing views.

  •
Most unusually, Gökce has been created around an old Harnup (carob) tree which stands tall and proud inside the double-height room through which it grows – the ultimate encapsulation of inside-outside living.

This extraordinary vaulted room is also the setting for the open-plan sitting room with recessed seating areas which are ideal to relax in and socialise with fellow guests. The rooms leads onto the dining area and kitchen and in turn opens out onto the glorious natural lake-pool and terrace.

  •

Another remarkable feature is is the dramatically located infinity lake-pool and jacuzzi – that provides a popular focal point.

Natural white sand descends gently 'beach-like' into the beautiful and extensive pool and many hours can be spent enjoying the astonishing views.

  •
At the edge of the property a path leads to a concealed entrance where a lift - blending with the forest - leads down to the secluded bays & coves of Gökce Gemile – an untouched private paradise.

Of its many and varied attractions, the bay with its seven coves and white-sand beach is the absolute highlight of the unique experience that is Gökçe Gemile.

The water is astonishingly blue and crystal clear and the hidden coves and associated services are yours to enjoy in peace throughout your stay (as described separately see menu above).

  •
Interiors continue to focus on the extraordinary location, with walls of glass providing inspirational views, and elegant high ceilings keeping the house cool.  The hight-tech open-plan kitchen boasts modern appliances and sparkling marble work tops and opens into the sitting room.

At one end of the ground floor is a large twin bedroom with terrace and an elegant guesthouse (fourth) double bedroom is located in the gardens - ideal for friends, teenagers or nannies.

A hand-crafted staircase leads up into the first floor which houses two spacious master bedrooms.

  •

The two, large first floor master suites are connected by a galleried walkway running quite literally through the harnup tree and have floor-to-ceiling glass windows taking full advantage of the staggering views out over the bay.

The individually designed suites have to be experienced to be believed and in keeeping with the entire concept, the bathrooms have been completed in exquisite detail, each having walk-in monsoon showers.

The aforementioned provides an overview of Gökce - here we present further detail and images for each individual room...
